About Me

Katelyn Wilke (Thomsen), LMBT

Katelyn Wilke-Thomsen has always been drawn to a more holistic approach in life. Even as a child you could always find her playing outside in nature, picking up flowers and leaves.

She’s always had a passion for helping others on their path of healing. After the passing of her father, she attended her first yoga class. During that class she realized how physical manipulation of the muscles in the body helped bring a sense of healing through movement. After many yoga practices and moving from Northern Kentucky to North Carolina in 2016, she decided she wanted to share this type of healing with others. It was in Wilmington NC, she joined Wilmington Yoga Center in 2017-2018 and trained to become a 500hr registered Yoga Teacher with a specialty in Therapeutic Yoga for Trauma. In 2019 She completed her mindful resistance training with the Veterans Yoga Project at Terra Sol Sanctuary in Wilmington, NC.

In 2021, she felt an energetic pull and became a Reiki first degree practitioner through a training led by Amy Sawyer. After years of instructing yoga, she felt another pull in a different direction towards helping others. In December of 2022 she graduated from College of Wilmington, An Aveda Institute, with the Diploma in Therapeutic Massage.

Whether by being a caring listener, or helping others to feel their own sense of healing somatically from a trauma perspective, she hopes to create a safe nurturing environment for clients to feel comfortable and at ease.
