This is the whole list. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.
What is stored
| Name | Kind | Set when | Purpose | Lifetime | Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
hr_session | Essential (cookie, HttpOnly) | Signing in to admin | Keeps Katelyn signed in to the admin area | 12 hours, or until sign-out | First |
hr_consent | Preference (cookie) | You choose in the cookie banner | Remembers your analytics choice so the banner stays closed | 12 months | First |
hr_aid | Analytics (cookie) | Analytics on (default) and no browser privacy signal | A random id so visits and return visits can be counted. No name, e-mail or health information is ever attached | 6 months | First |
hr.sid | Analytics (browser session storage, not a cookie) | Analytics on (default) and no browser privacy signal | A random id for one visit, so pages viewed together are counted as one visit | Until the tab closes, or 30 minutes without activity | First |
hr.booking.v1, hr.booking.draft.v1 | Essential (browser session storage, not a cookie) | Starting a booking | Keeps your booking choices while you move between steps. Health answers are never stored here | Until the tab closes | First |
hr.ui | Preference (browser session storage, not a cookie) | Visiting the site | Remembers, for this visit only, that you hid the cookie banner and when the visit began | Until the tab closes | First |
hr.popup.v1 | Preference (browser local storage) | Closing or using the e-mail sign-up | Remembers when it last opened or was closed, or that you joined, so it shows at most once every 30 minutes | 30 minutes after it last opened or was closed; permanent after joining | First |
The e-mail sign-up offer
The 20% sign-up window is shown at most once every 30 minutes, in any browser. I keep a one-way code derived from your IP address so the offer is shown at most once every 30 minutes; it can't be turned back into your address. Those codes are deleted after 30 days, unless you joined the list (then the window never shows again).
Your choices
- A small banner lets you keep visit counting on or turn it off. Your choice is remembered for 12 months.
- The Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page opens the same choice again, any time.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, I treat it as a request to turn analytics off. You do not need to do anything else.
- Turning analytics off deletes the
hr_aidcookie. The essential items above are needed for booking and signing in to work, so they cannot be turned off.
Analytics
My analytics runs on this site's own server. It counts which pages are viewed, the website you came from (the site name only), a rough screen size (small, medium or large), the browser family, and a few steps such as reaching a booking step or closing the e-mail sign-up. It never stores your IP address, your full browser details, your name, your e-mail address, or anything from your health form. Raw visit records are deleted after 13 months; only daily totals are kept after that.
Booking progress
While you book, your choices (session, length and time) are kept in your browser's session storage so the steps work. They disappear when you close the tab. Your health form answers are never stored in the browser.
Card payments
When you pay a deposit online you are taken to Stripe Checkout, which sets its own cookies on stripe.com to process the payment securely. Those are Stripe’s, not mine, and are covered by Stripe’s privacy policy.
